I have just been reading some other adoption blogs. It looks like some of these people have been told that can't travel to pick up their children in China! My heart goes out to them! I can't imagine knowing your child is sitting over there waiting to be loved by their forever family and not being able to get there! the CCAA has said they will keep matching children to parents as usual they just will not be sending out any referral letters or travel approvals. I'm sure things will change several times as the world learns more about this flu.
On a lighter note we had another homestudy visit last night and it went really well. Our social worker Jodi had to talk to the kids about the adoption. I was surprised at how much both the boys knew about China and the circumstances these little girls face. She also asked Riley if she would share her toys with the new baby and Riley nodded her head yes! And proceeded to tell Jodi that she has lots of toys so she can share! How cute is she? I'm sure the sharing thing will fizzle after a month or two of having little Addi at home! We had to decide what special needs our family would consider. How weird and a little stressful! However now that we have made the decision I feel at peace. And know that we have made the right decisions. Last night was the first night I allowed myself to really get excited about this baby! Now it can't happen soon enough!
