Its been snowing on and off since Friday night. We are in that in between stage where it won't really stick because its too warm, yet it is cold enough to snow. I am not sure if Addison has ever experienced snow before...another thing that makes a Mom feel odd (wondering if snow is a new experience for her 2.5yr old!) Anyways on Saturday morning when we woke up, there was still snow on the ground and enough to just cover the grass, all the kids wanted to go out and play in the yard, so after 30 minutes of suiting everyone up, out they went. Addison took one look at the snow and panicked! Poor thing! She watched the kids make mini snowballs from the window inside, and was very happy to be warm :0)
This morning I had some running around and it was snowing again. Those big kind of fluffy flakes. Well I don't know if its innate in all children, but Addy knew to stick out her little tongue and catch them! Her giggle and amazement was so heart warming! I had to just stop in the middle of the parking lot and enjoy watching her delight in the tasty snowflakes.
This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it ~Psalms~ 118:24~
Lilah definitely did not know to do that! Addy sure is an Alberta girl, through and through! I like sitting looking out at it though, I am totally with her there! :)

Oh, wow! Snow in October! Okay, I know, not too unusual where you are, but it would be traffic-stopping in our neck of the woods. Addison is such a cutie - I can just picture her trying to capture snow on her tongue.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow from inside a warm house too! Once she sees the kids outside playing in it, she will want to join them eventually!
